2022.11.01

Following the last 4.5m high Bronze Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva Statue. We were commissioned by Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Monastery to produce another sitting Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva statue. Its overall height is 1.8 meters, and the surface is also gold leaf. The statue consists of two parts, the Buddha statue and the cane. Now, this new Buddha statue is installed in the temple's Open praying area of Pu Tong Columbarium.

This sitting Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva statue is made by the traditional lost wax casting process. From 1:1 3D printed models, FRP model, sand shells to cast in bronze. Every step needs to be done carefully to achieve the best results. After the casting is completed, the gold leaf surface treatment is also extremely meticulous work. From spraying the primer, scraping the putty, brushing the primer, and finally putting the special gold foil one by one on the surface of the sculpture. This requires the master to have superb skills. Finally is the packaging, the Buddha statue and the cane can be separated. In order to facilitate transportation, our engineer proposed to divide the cane into two parts and separate them from the Buddha statue, which greatly reduces any damage caused by friction between the cane and the Buddha statue during transportation.
