This painted stainless steel sculpture is composed of a group of flying cranes. It was designed by a domestic artist, completed in 2011 and installed on the Jilin Expressway. The total height of the whole work is 18 meters (59 feet), made of 304 stainless steel with painted surface, and the internal structure is made of Q345B carbon steel. Usually, the surface of spray-painted sculptures can be treated with different types of pre-treatment, such as grinding, polishing or brushing(hairline), and the resulting effects are not the same. The surface after polishing and then painting is more reflective, while the surface after brushing usually has a matte finish. Different effects can be selected according to different needs.
This stainless steel sculpture also adds a beautiful touch to the scenery along the road.
