Cast Stainless Steel Miniature Pulsing Heart

Small Gift of A Pulsing Heart Sculpture

A series of cast stainless steel artwork made by traditional lost wax casting crafts is presented on us again, after the 4.0 high big stainless steel pulsing heart installed in the University of Žilina in 2019.

Those mirror cast stainless steel sculptures are miniature gifts, are memorial artworks commissioned by sculptor Bohuš Kubinský, to gift to those who have the prestige or who have contributed to the school and academics. Different from previous hand-forging crafts, they are adopted by casting method due to their miniature size. Generally speaking, stainless steel cast is the same as bronze casting. To have a 1:1 model such as a 3D printing resin model, or FRP, etc. to get negative mold first; and then duplicate a positive wax model to get a sand shell. After that, the casting process is starting. For cast stainless steel sculpture we need to pour into molten stainless steel water. Welding all stainless steel castings together and finally surface treatment.

Wish all those small cast stainless steel artwork bring vitality and passion to the University as always.
