About the Mirror Polished Steel Chinese Ancient Warrior Sculpture

Beijing-born Ren Zhe, 40, who graduated from the Tsinghua University’s Academy of Fine Arts Sculpture Department with bachelor’s and master’s degrees, is best known for his stainless-steel warrior sculptures. His work is full of elements of Chinese culture. Through his understanding of Western sculpture, the artist has pushed traditional Chinese sculpture to a new height, and has been leading a new generation of Chinese artists.

Ren Zhe's steel artworks are created through a process known as metal fabrication, which involves casting, welding, and shaping metal into the desired form. Ren Zhe works with a variety of metals, including stainless steel, aluminum, and bronze, and uses a combination of traditional hand tools and modern machinery to create his pieces. Metal fabrication requires a great deal of skill and precision.
